Karen Ager: Master of Wellness, Bachelor of Education, Certificate of Business Studies, Member of Golden Key Honors Society.

Karen Ager earned her Master of Wellness at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia where she was awarded multiple High Distinctions. Karen was taught by Dr. John Travis, who opened the first Wellness Resource Center in the world in California in 1975. She is a tenured faculty member at the United Nations International School in New York City. In her role as a Junior School Learning Specialist, Karen teaches literacy skills to students in Kindergarten to Grade Four. She has 25 years of classroom experience and understands the importance of the emotions in learning. Karen has successfully integrated mindfulness and wellness practices into the classroom.

Karen is involved with numerous arthritis advocacy groups and foundations. She serves on the Board of the Jeffrey Gottfurcht Children’s Arthritis Foundation whose mission is to make dreams and wishes a reality for children living with juvenile arthritis. Prior to this position, she served for eight years on the Board of the Arthritis Foundation’s NY Chapter, where she helped to raise close to $50,000 for the organization. In 2009, she founded Hope is Incurable, an Arthritis Meet Up group that provides a community of support for those who suffer from arthritis in the New York City area.
